The grey skies over Goderich are relentless at thi The grey skies over Goderich are relentless at this time of year. So I'm mentally transporting myself back to visiting @casalomatoronto on a particularly blue sky day in October.

With a few journalists in tow, we admired the architecture, interiors and gardens of this treasured landmark on a private tour as part of a press trip organized by @whitetigerpr (where I'm a PR consultant) for @destination_toronto.

Bayfield blues on a Thursday afternoon. Between Bayfield blues on a Thursday afternoon.

Between the second season of @postcardsfromhuroncounty, signing a contract to work with @lonelyplanet to write a chapter in a forthcoming guidebook, meeting wonderful @tasting_marrakech guests, PR clients and travel, life has been wildly business. Taking an afternoon to wander in @bayfieldontario to admire new murals, eat a pecan pie blizzard from @woodland.drive.in_bayfield while soaking up the sunshine was a delight.

Its been a bonkers few weeks with projects/clients Its been a bonkers few weeks with projects/clients on three continents, but the second season of @postcardsfromhuroncounty launched yesterday.

I absolutely loved interviewing Marc Cantin, whose ancestors arrived in Quebec from France on invitation from the Hudson's Bay Company (they were ship builders) before eventually making their way to Huron County.

His great-grandfather had a vision to build a canal system that had the support of private investors, including Henry Ford, but couldn't get government approval, Cantin told me.

Tune in on your favourite pod app to listen.

And of course, big thanks to Clint Mackie @thestaysh_ for awesome audio production, and @huroncountymuseum and @communityfutureshuron for supporting my ideas!

This year I'm here for it all.

But apparently its supposed to snow this weekend. So I may need to start thinking of sunny destinations.

Comme un samedi sur l'Île d'Orléans. Fabulous Comme un samedi sur l'Île d'Orléans.

Fabulous architecture, fresh seafood for lobster rolls and lobster poutine, good wines, and breakfast with a view. Most importantly, especially after the past two years, was the good company. We made lists and did the work my life coach would be proud of (over bottles of bubbles, bien sûr).
