Stepping inside the musée Yves Saint Laurent marrakech on episode 005 of Why Morocco podcast

For the fifth episode of Why Morocco, I stepped out of the studio and into the musée Yves Saint Laurent marrakech where I met with Mme Christine Alaoui, mother of the late photographer Leila Alaoui whose photographs are currently on display as part of The Moroccans exhibition. The exposition is free to the public and an absolute must-see as several of the images on display are on exhibit for the first time and capture the people we meet in daily life in Morocco.

I met with exhibition curator Guillaume de Sanders and scenographer Christophe Martin. Martin has also just completed the new rotation of YSL fashions in the permanent exhibition space. Director Bjorn Dalhstrom sat down with me to discuss the museum’s first year and what we can expect for the coming year.
