For days, the streets were filled with locals taking sheep home in advance of Eid Al Adha.  And the day of the feast had finally arrived.

The streets of the Marrakech medina were filled with lambs waiting to be enjoyed by large families.  The smell of the meat roasting on the open grills all throughout the streets.  And the sight of the smoke from the grills added to the already magical atmosphere of the old medina.  At the end of the street, piles of lamb skins indicated that several families were fortunate to be enjoying a feast of lamb.  And through the medina, children wearing their finest clothes for the occasion, especially the little girls in their sweetest kaftans.

It was an experience she was happy to have experienced.
