Also, I'm furnishing my lakeside apartment largely with antique made in Ontario furniture given the building dates from the 1920s (I'm in love with the winding central staircase typical of the era). Having spent 10 years in Morocco where artisans create the most glorious crafts, I can't do mass produced imports anymore.

One of the things I'm proudest of in my life are the relationships I have and the people surrounding me both near and far.

This hand knit shawl arrived from a friend I worked with in banking back in the early noughts with a note that brought me to tears ... "I knit you this shawl to welcome you back to Canada and to wrap you in comfort after a really difficult year".

About last night. The sunset over a partially froz About last night. The sunset over a partially frozen Lake Huron drew a crowd at Lighthouse Park.

And it marked the end of a fabulous day filled with good friends, good coffee, good food and inspiring conversations. Every day I love my new Goderich apartment a little more (just blocks from the beach). More, @tasting_marrakech reopened and welcomed a delightful group of guests for a private tour and I cannot wait to return in a few weeks 🤞🏼.

To say I love having my weekends in the County would be an understatement.
