It’s my favourite season in Marrakech. Winter.
The season when daytime temperatures rise to +25’C, perfect temperatures for a lazy lunch on a terrace.
It’s the season when I find there is a certain energy as locals buzz about in the comfortable temperatures that make walking a joy! Especially the views of the majestic snow-capped mountains standing proudly over the city while walking down the palm-treed boulevards.
And the view from the rooftop terraces in the old medina is simply magnificent with the Atlas Mountains in the distance.
With March just around the corner, a trip out to the Atlas Mountains is a favourite as the fruit trees are in bloom and the little Berber villages just look that much prettier.
But once the sun goes down, yikes, it’s time to gab a sweater. And socks. Because evening temperatures can be quite chilly. Especially in a little old medina house.
