Having spent the Christmas holidays in Canada, and now the credit cards bills are arriving, I’m realizing just how much of a workout my credit card received! (Although I did have an absolutely gorgeous Christmas with my family!)
You see one thing I struggle with when I’m back in the West is the desire to consume. It’s all around. A whole day can easily be spent at the mall. And I must confess that I’ve been getting worse on my trips back. Buying far too many clothes, shoes and bags only to return to a maxed out credit card and bags of stuff which I don’t even necessarily use here.
But that makes me sad. Because we then lose sight of the beauty around us. The moments that money can’t buy.
Like this one.
A gorgeous afternoon spent in Kas, Turkey, watching the sunset from an old Roman amphitheatre overlooking the Mediterranean.
When a young musician arrived to practice playing his saxophone.
Providing a magical ambiance to those appreciating the finer things in life.
Here’s hoping your weekend may be filled with moments that money can’t buy.
