I’ve just returned from a snowy, cold and blizzard-stricken Canada. We even had ice fog, something I’d never even heard of. It was so cold, it was called a polar vortex.
But yet there was something beautiful about it.
Something calming about the world slowing down as all roads were closed and schools were canceled.
Something relaxing about being stuck inside watching movies, sipping cafe au laits next to the fireplace as the birds snuck up to the bird feeders.
Something magical about the silence as the snow covered the ground.
Something comforting about neighbours helping neighbours shovel their driveways and walkways, offering help to those stranded, and taking care to ensure everyone had what they needed for the days spent indoors.
Here’s hoping you see the magic and beauty around you today!
