What I learned in 2013

Though 2013 certainly had its highs and lows, moments of joy and moments of tears,  and a sense of accomplishment often accompanied by a sense of failure, overall it was pretty awesome! Unsurprisingly I happened to learn a few things.

Time alone
Being by myself once is awhile is healthy, fabulous and above all, necessary.  It gives me a chance to unwind, relax, think, but most importantly, just be.

It’s time to do something for me

And one fact was reconfirmed:

Reputation is more important than money, this along with dedication, hard work and professionalism cannot be bought.  After all, I always so that money is a renewable resource if you have a job or the skills required to make yourself employable.

I hope you’ve had a chance to reflect on your year to make steps to move forward.

  1. I hope in 2014 all your dreams come true, life brings you a few challenges just to keep things interesting, and you have the courage (not that you lack it!) to follow your heart. All the best.

PS you may have an unexpected visitor in 2014. 🙂

  3. Hello, Mandy. I recently found your blog and it has been such an inspiration. I had the opportunity to visit Morocco 2 years ago with friends who are originally from Casa, and it was absolutely awesome…loved it so much that I am returning in a few months for an extended vacation (based in Tetouan). I would love to connect with you when I return. In the meantime, best wishes for the new year! 🙂

    1. Hi Nicole,
Thank you for your kind words. Tetouan is an interesting choice, and close to the gorgeous Mediterranean Coast. Do keep in touch and all the best for 2014! x Mandy
