A fall hike in Morocco

This weekend as my social media feeds were filling up with photos of friends enjoying the fall colours in Canada over Thanksgiving, I too was lucky to go for a fall hike.  Just with different scenery.

Maple trees were replaced with palm groves.

And instead of little country churches, the landscape was dotted with colourful mosques and marabouts.

And instead of harvesting the crops, men were harvesting olives.

With pomegranates in season, we passed by several bushes bearing the fruit.  And of course, given that we were walking in the Souss  Valley area, we had a stop under an argan tree, the only area in the world where argan trees grow.

All of that before arrving back at the carpark where there were more than just cars transporting people!

Here’s hoping you have some time to head outside this weekend and enjoy the natural beauty around you!
