Oh dear readers, it’s been a rough few weeks. Weeks filled with major decisions to be contemplated and made. And rather than making an irrational decision, I’ve decided to step away from the situation. Take a break. Far from “home”.
By myself.
Yep, just me. For me, that’s the scary part. You see I’m a social person. I hate to be alone, and love to socialize. That’s perhaps why I chose public relations, event planning and marketing as my career choice, one that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE.
Coffee dates. Lunch meetings. Dinners. Drinks do. If there was a party, I had to be there. I’ve gone from a packed agenda from day to night…
…to nothing.
After all, I read a quote on Pinterest by Wayne Cordeiro recently that stated, “Solitude is a chosen separation for refining your soul. Isolation is what you crave when you neglect you first.”
So for the next few weeks, I’ll be by myself. Thinking. Planning. Or not thinking, just living. I’m even reducing the hours I spend on social media. And my phone doesn’t work.
Because as Marilyn Monroe once said, “I restore myself when I’m alone”.

Good luck. Sometimes it’s good to take a time out and regroup.
Living in Morocco is a full-on assault on the senses and the spirit sometimes. We all need time out. Take it easy and come back refreshed!
