It was the warmest of welcomes. By some of the greatest pals a girl could ask for. In one of the coolest cities in Canada.
Montreal.
After a trans-Atlantic flight and in much need of a vacation, I was quickly whisked downtown where we enjoyed views of the river from our hotel room while sipping wine. And as a fan of food, we had to choose the best restaurant. And the best we did.
Beaver Hall. Ohemgee, delicious! And as I was among great friends, we shared our appetizers. Goat’s cheese creme brulee to start, oh my. A most-amazing French onion soup. And a seafood dish. All to share before our delicious steaks. Cooked to perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Wine bottles empty, we called it a night.
Before waking up and heading to Old Montreal for a day of sunshine, wandering and admiring.
And imagining where we would live if we were to relocate to Montreal. I’d pick one of these cool apartments, built for Expo 67.
Oh Montreal, you are and have always been, one of my favourite places in Canada!

One of the world’s best cities. I used to rent a warehouse flat in Old Montreal years ago.
Mega cool! Lucky you.
