I’ve crossed another one of my must-visit cities of the list. This time, Berlin. A city I’ve longed for since watching the Berlin Wall come down on our 13-channel television (with a channel knob you had to get off the couch to change manually I might add).
So I loved spending mornings in cafes in the former East Berlin.
It was just as I imagined.
And visiting the fascinating Berlin Wall Memorial.
And reading about life in the DDR.
And then the Holocaust memorial, housing a sad but fascinating collection of photos and personal stories.
And then I maxed out on museums and admired the graffiti.
And then hit more cafes. And galleries. And shops. In the former East Berlin. Loving life. Getting a feel for the city. Just the way I like to travel!
great photos of my former home, Mandy! And so much snow! Are you glad to be back in sunny Marrakech?
I always appreciate a break, and then love coming back. And after 0’C and snow, the sunny days feel warm again! I hope all is well in Essaouira. x
I enjoyed coming back after snowy Brussels too!
