I arrived in January 2011. No job. No apartment. And only a few friends. Being a social young professional this was a bit of a challenge. But things have a way of working themselves out and now I’m here and I’m blogging about having the time of my life. Of course there were days when I wanted to stand on the rooftop terrace and scream what have I done with me life? But for the most part I love it. And things seem to work themselves out. I found a job I love. A place to call my own and interesting people have come into my life.
Why Morocco?
It’s a question I’m asked frequently.
In June 2010 I travelled to Morocco and had the trip of a lifetime. The people, the music, the food, the landscapes, the sights and sounds and the lifestyle have inspired me to return. Some people understand why I’d want to return. Others were horrified at the fact that I would give up the apartment I love so much, search for a job unrelated to what I studied in college and university for five years, and relocate to a developing nation. But I think it’s all worth it.
Morocco is among the best tourist destination in the world
